  • Happy 4th of July!

Well, AHH!  So the cat's out of the bag.  The beans are out of the jar.  The water is out of the bottle!  All that jazz!

My relationship with Phuc has been pretty much on the DL, if you will, from my parents for the last three-and-a-half years.  Since it is pretty difficult keeping a relationship secret for that long, they eventually found out but didn't tell me, but I heard from my siblings that they knew but didn't want to "confront" me about it.  So it became one of those intricate They Don't Know That We Know That They Know things.  But yesterday, my sister told my parents that she wanted them to meet Patrick, her boyfriend, so they saw it as a perfect opportuniy to out me!  Ahh!

So I freaked out when they asked me whether or not Phuc was my boyfriend (especially after years of reflexively saying "no" since they caught me holding hands with Phuc a week after we started dating and told me to break it off) so instead of being forced to say "yes" or "no" I instead took the exit strategy of just crying.  Which pretty much spoke for itself.  And they said it was okay 'cos Phuc's nice.  But nonetheless I still bawled to Phuc later because I was still in that "freaking out" state of mind, who comforted me by saying, "Maybe it's a 4th of July miracle!"

Lol.  So while it should be a good thing that it's now out in the open and my parents are okay with it "as long as it doesn't get serious to the extent.. (*trails off*)" which I am inferring is my mom gingerly saying "don't make the sex, okay," I'm still freaking out.

Come back in a week and maybe I'll be calmer.  >_>!

But, today's festivities were pretty cool.  Definitely the most eventful Independence Day I've had in a whiiile.  My sister and Patrick came by and I finally met him, after giving them directions and Yelp recommendations over the phone throughout their entire road trip last month.  My parents, Patrick, my sister, and I all went out for lunch after giving them the tour of my backyard/cat zoo, where we talked about my mom's shenanigans and got to know "your Ate's boyfriend!!!!!!!"

Afterward, I went out with Patrick and my sister for coffee/train museum/Old Sac/park/coffee #2, where the biggest lesson I learned was that while my sister is quite the vulgar person, both of them together is vulgarity beyond measure.  Lol.  >_______>

After Patrick and my sister left and nighttime came about, my dad and I went to Cal Expo to watch the fireworks!  I thought they were pretty cool, but the drive home was DDDDD: !

I was pretty paranoid after all those commercials saying that Fourth of July is the most dangerous day to drive in the entire year, and the drive home was ridiiiculously crowded.  While Baby is now in the driveway unscathed, I was more "OMFG" than usual about my dad's nonexistent following distance in stop-and-go traffic.  Telling my dad to drive safer = him reducing his following distance even more to tease me.  T_T.  So I basically braced myself and prayed.  We passed by like, four or five accidents on the five-mile route home, but I am now chillaxing in my bed so s'aaaaaalllll goooooooood.

    >_>

Note to self: I like bubblegum ice cream.

shine down, wipe it all again

    Bye for now!
