  • Ahh!

I got accepted to UCLA!  :D   Weeee~!  That was one of my let's-apply-for-funsies schools, along with Stanford.  After getting accepted, I almost wish I applied for UC Berkeley instead of UC Merced for funsies, too.  I have to admit, them UCLA students be dedicated.  Weber and Trinh are on me to visit LA like jam on bread!

I've been making all my college plans since October with the definite prospect of attending Sac State, but the sudden influx of four UC acceptance letters is very intoxicating.  So now I'm confused.  Bless UC Merced's heart, but it's not on my list.  However, my boyfriend and my best friends are at UC Davis, my sister is at UCSC, and my very welcoming former teacher and super smart former classmate are at UCLA.  Of course, "ur friendz shood not determine ur college," but it's nice knowing that I have a zone of comfort if I go to any of the UCs.

But, I've been invited to the ASF overnight program at UCSC, which sounds wayyy fun, nix the fact that I'm terrible when it comes to meeting new people.  It's a three-day and two-night stay at UCSC with campus tours and whatnot, geared towards admitted Filipino students.  Although it's not on the super likely chance that I'll be attending UCSC ("this is just an invitation to visit the school, not a commitment" - the ASF phamplet), the free room/board/food for 3 days and 2 nights is really really tempting and fun.  There's a dance there from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. that won't be as fun without Phuc (i am utterly incapable of dancing with anyone but him.. and i suppose ballroom lessons from my sister), but I will make good friends with the snack table and hopefully get in more souvenir shopping time.  xD  So, I asked my parents about it, and hopefully I will be set to have a crazay Spring Break for once -- 3 days and 2 nights at Oregon, then 3 days and 2 nights at UCSC in the same week!  Oh, how thrilling!

And speaking of Phuc, the ever-exciting Phucandchrista update:
We've been able to spend a lot of time together recently!  :D   We spent Monday window-shopping (lol) because we didn't plan what to do, but on Tuesday we went to the Temple Coffee and Tea House downtown, which was really yummy.  And today, I finally got to hang out at Phuc's house for the first time in weeks (tennis has been eating his schedule), so I was super excited to finally see Bobmarley in his aquarium since I gave him to Phuc!  I forgot to take a picture, but trust me, he was really cute.  He spazzes a lot in the corner, then he gets really tired from spazzing and rests on the rocks in the middle of the aquarium.  So at his house, Phuc and I practiced singing for the Senior Talent Show (lol are we srsly doing that), and afterwards we ate at Tops Yogurt and looked at corsages for Senior Baaaalll.  I'm sooo exciiitteeddd for Senior Baaalllll.  guhhhhhhh

    omgah bobmarley is so cute

note to self: pay for AP tests
other note to self: buy senior ball ticket
other other note to self: buy mouthwash and floss

Something I am secretly delighted in being able to say:
I'm dating the captain of the Men's Varsity Tennis Team!  8D
    ... TEE HEE.

i love the way it feels when you are telling me that i'm the only one that blows your mind

    Bye for now!

P.S. phuc you need to start wearing sunblock, fool

  • Oh hell yeah, lil Caneda.

If you get everywhere you apply for, you and me both'll have 100% acceptance rates!

And if you come to campus, we should chill.

Also, a big portion of what ended up helping me choose my university was the financial aide packages. Cal was going to cost me 10k a year, UCSD 5k, and UCI 4.5k, and since I had that scholarship, UCSC was a gain of 2k. So even though they're all UCs, they really aren't all the same price.

Wait on it a little bit before you make your decision. There's no point in making an uninformed one.

Let me know if you plan on making campus visits (though, lol, I didn't visit or know anything about UCSC at all before I came here; I just knew it was free!). I smell a potential road trip.

  • you're a sunblock.

    you're getting into everywhere! aaaaa!
