    My iPod's age is starting to catch up to it!  It freezes an average of twice a week now and I had to do a factory restore on it yesterday.  My four-year-old U2 iPod is truckin' through, though!  I'll probably have to buy a new MP3 player in college, because my current one is definitely showing signs of "I'm going to die soon."  although i will always lub you, bono's autograph  ;_;

And omgah, I got my confirmation e-mail that I was chosen to participate in the ASF overnight stay at UCSC, so I'm going there on the 9th for sure now!  homgzz

I also had an extremely weird moment the other day, where I was listening to "Mario Kart Love Song" by Sam Hart, and this verse came up:

The blue shell is coming, so I'll go ahead
If you hang behind, it'll hit me instead
But never look back, 'cause I'm down but not dead
    I'll catch up to you

And I thought that was so sweet that I got teary!  I seriously don't think I've had that with a song before; some songs get me teary, but never like that for that reason.  So it was really odd that the time I did feel like that was from a song about Mario Kart Racing.

And the ironic thing is that I do NOT do that with Phuc.  We were at Crystal's game night last year playing Mario Kart: Double Dash, and I was talking SO much smack to Phuc about his game.  I got first place overall and he got second.  Basically, I whupped him, and good.

    KIDDING, ILU PHUC

when we slide together, we generate sparks

    kbye for now

  • i still think it's a hamster

    aah!

So, last year, Phuc and I asked each other to Junior Prom through this epic conversation:

One of us (i can't even remember): We're going to prom together, right?
The other one of us: Yeeeeeeeaaa!
    /conversation

But this year, Phuc says he has something special planned for asking me to go to Senior Ball and I'm all spazzing out!  He said he'd do it by Spring Break, and homg Spring Break is like a week from today (omg oregon field trip this friday)!  SO I'M SPAZZIN OUT!  He gave me a couple of hints, and I can only assume that it's either a hamster or a sock.  Either way, I'm naming it Pancake.
    ...OMG IS IT PANCAKES?

    i'm freakin out man

lol in the future, phuc can't ever hint at me about proposing to me, i'll have a heart attack

    /spaz

  • more college news, oh my!

    homgz

So, UC Merced apparently heard me talking all this smack about it, how I was going all, "Shoot, UC Merced?  No homedog, that ain't be on my list no way, shoooot."  And so it shoved its way past UCLA (with my parents' promise to move WITH me to LA, defeating one of the main purposes of a school away from home) by giving me a $28,000 scholarship to be paid over 4 years (so $7k a year)!  I got the Regents' Scholarship, which is apparently "one of the highest honors that can be awarded to an undergraduate student at any of campus of the University of California," which is pretty cool beans.  Very grand, majestic beans.  This is the first tangible college scholarship award (yes, tangible.. i got a certificate, lmao) that I've received so far, so yayyyyyy.

    yaaayyyyyyyyyy

Phuc's been refusing to wear sunblock even though he spends GOD KNOWS HOW MANY HOURS in the sun because of tennis, (omfg i'm dating the captain of the tennis team) so I finally bought him some sunblock today.  I have to call it Anti-Cancer Cream to make him cooperate.  Someone remind me to give it to him.
    do it

GUH.  I need to like.  Start reading something for recreation again for the first time in like... two years.  ap classes, ihu

i'm so flippin' excited for oregon

    NYEH
    pa-chow!!

    bye for now

  • Ahh!

I got accepted to UCLA!  :D   Weeee~!  That was one of my let's-apply-for-funsies schools, along with Stanford.  After getting accepted, I almost wish I applied for UC Berkeley instead of UC Merced for funsies, too.  I have to admit, them UCLA students be dedicated.  Weber and Trinh are on me to visit LA like jam on bread!

I've been making all my college plans since October with the definite prospect of attending Sac State, but the sudden influx of four UC acceptance letters is very intoxicating.  So now I'm confused.  Bless UC Merced's heart, but it's not on my list.  However, my boyfriend and my best friends are at UC Davis, my sister is at UCSC, and my very welcoming former teacher and super smart former classmate are at UCLA.  Of course, "ur friendz shood not determine ur college," but it's nice knowing that I have a zone of comfort if I go to any of the UCs.

But, I've been invited to the ASF overnight program at UCSC, which sounds wayyy fun, nix the fact that I'm terrible when it comes to meeting new people.  It's a three-day and two-night stay at UCSC with campus tours and whatnot, geared towards admitted Filipino students.  Although it's not on the super likely chance that I'll be attending UCSC ("this is just an invitation to visit the school, not a commitment" - the ASF phamplet), the free room/board/food for 3 days and 2 nights is really really tempting and fun.  There's a dance there from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. that won't be as fun without Phuc (i am utterly incapable of dancing with anyone but him.. and i suppose ballroom lessons from my sister), but I will make good friends with the snack table and hopefully get in more souvenir shopping time.  xD  So, I asked my parents about it, and hopefully I will be set to have a crazay Spring Break for once -- 3 days and 2 nights at Oregon, then 3 days and 2 nights at UCSC in the same week!  Oh, how thrilling!

And speaking of Phuc, the ever-exciting Phucandchrista update:
We've been able to spend a lot of time together recently!  :D   We spent Monday window-shopping (lol) because we didn't plan what to do, but on Tuesday we went to the Temple Coffee and Tea House downtown, which was really yummy.  And today, I finally got to hang out at Phuc's house for the first time in weeks (tennis has been eating his schedule), so I was super excited to finally see Bobmarley in his aquarium since I gave him to Phuc!  I forgot to take a picture, but trust me, he was really cute.  He spazzes a lot in the corner, then he gets really tired from spazzing and rests on the rocks in the middle of the aquarium.  So at his house, Phuc and I practiced singing for the Senior Talent Show (lol are we srsly doing that), and afterwards we ate at Tops Yogurt and looked at corsages for Senior Baaaalll.  I'm sooo exciiitteeddd for Senior Baaalllll.  guhhhhhhh

    omgah bobmarley is so cute

note to self: pay for AP tests
other note to self: buy senior ball ticket
other other note to self: buy mouthwash and floss

Something I am secretly delighted in being able to say:
I'm dating the captain of the Men's Varsity Tennis Team!  8D
    ... TEE HEE.

i love the way it feels when you are telling me that i'm the only one that blows your mind

    Bye for now!

P.S. phuc you need to start wearing sunblock, fool

  • Hallooo.

College updates: I got my acceptance letters from UC Santa Cruz and UC Davis!  Yay!  :)

    And HOMG!

Today I cut class for the first time EVER!!!!  GASP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lol okay not really.  But technically!
I have an A in my Physio class, and Mr. Morgan is letting seniors with a B+ or higher have the option of not taking the final, because seniors in Fourth Term don't have to (because they graduate before they can take the final), so he wanted to make it fair.  Today was the first day of the final, and I totally didn't want to take it, but I also had nothing else to do during class.  So I had the choice of either sitting in Physiology for an hour and a half doing nothing, or going next door to Ms. Martin's room and watch a movie while mooching off the class potluck.  I got it cleared with Ms. Martin, and Mr. Morgan gave me permission to stay in her class, although it meant that I'd have to take an absence for his class on the attendance sheet, and I accepted.

so mebbe it's not cutting if i get permission from the teacher
    But it was intense!

Lol, I typed up this huge thingy about my three and a half year anniversary present for Phuc, and spontaneously remembered that Phuc and I have a Xanga together!  XD  I decided it'd be so appropriate there, so you can read What Is Supposed To Be The Rest Of This Blog Entry here: http://www.xanga.com/twofiddy/696024979/

    yey

i could have saved so much time for us

    Bye for now!

I've never been so excited about blood before, because today I was admittedly really really stoked when my BloodSource card came in the mail and I found out my blood type!  It's AB+!  :)   I read the "only about 3 percent of the population has type AB" comments on the back, and felt totally awesome and special.  Although my whole blood is bootsy to BloodSource because barely anyone can take AB blood!  We AB type bloods are a proud people!  D:

Saturday was White Day, and I celebrated with Phuc!  I couldn't go out, so we had an online date and watched Bolt together, then chatted on the phone~  :3  (which i thought was a cute movie; especially the fat hamster and fat cat... i love fat pets) The day before, Friday the 13th mojo tried to keep us apart, but then Phuc visited me and brought me frozen yogurt (with my favorite candies, M&M's and banana candy!) so we could eat it together.  He also gave me the limited edition Digi Pack of the new U2 CD, and I've been listening to it ALLL weekend.  homgahh.

With the new U2 album just released, I totally flipped when I learned that Vienna Teng is coming out with a new CD too!  (U2, Vienna Teng, and Relient K are my favorite music artists.  So if Relient K also releases an album this year, I just may plotz!)  Her new album is Inland Territory, out April 7th, don't miss it!  Although most of you haven't heard of her.  D:  I shared a Vienna Teng song in Creative Writing a few months ago and asked if anyone ever heard of her and no one did, making me a sad Christa.  I need more vienna teng homeslices. (i apparently currently have phuc and duc, lmaolmaolmao.)  omg i'm so excited for vienna teng's new cd.  But anyhoo, I totally love Vienna Teng and I am totally getting her album after I get back from Oregon on April 5th.

Speaking of which, I am extremely excited about going to Oregon in two and a half weeks!  GUHHH.  I get to spend three whole days with Phuc and spaz around tax-free Oregon!  Shoppinnnnggg!  I already want to start packing my things.  Secretly, I spent today hunting for PJ's so that when I sleep at the hotel in Oregon, the girls will say, "omgah christa ur pjs are so cute," and I will secretly whisper, "YESSS."  I am very honestly more excited about the shopping, time with Phuc, the free continental breakfast, and the fact that it will be my very first More-Than-One-Day field trip more than the Ashland Theater Festival, which is the point of the trip.  >__>

Ew, my memory box broke so I need to replace it.
    :(

    and now i'm sleepy

    *runs away*

i don't want to drown now; meet me in the sound

    Bye for now!

  • RIP Anna Banana D:

    Anna Banana died yesterday!  D:
She was really sick yesterday, so Ms. Martin told me that I should say goodbye, and I did.  I found out today that she didn't make it.  :(   I was so sad!

I knew Anna a short five-and-a-half months, but she was a very wonderful guinea pig!  Phuc and I visited her almost everyday during lunch, and my sister, brother, and parents all fell in love with her when she stayed with me in my room for Winter Vacation last year.  Phuc and I both loved her very much, and if we've talked about nothing else in the long-term future of our relationship, we always chat about how we certainly want awesome guinea pigs like Anna Banana!

Her old spot in Ms. Martin's classroom now says "RIP Anna Banana" and has a collage of photos of Anna.  I haven't seen it yet, but I definitely want to see it soon.  :[  Likewise, I looked through my small collection of photos and watched videos that I took of Anna while she lived with me over Winter Vacation.  :<  Poor Ms. Martin!  Ms. Martin loved her so much and was really heartbroken yesterday when Anna was dying.  It was really heartbreaking to see.

And even though she was just a little guinea pig, she always made my afternoons.  I loved the way that she was super fatty, had a cute chubby tushy, ate really spazzy, and ran around her cage chasing after food that Phuc baited her with.  I liked the way that she let me hold her and she kissed my nose when I got really close to her and always stole food out of my hand if I didn't hold onto it hard enough.  She was a really friendly spaz and really really silly and cute.

    Anna Banana was awesooome!

    I lub you, Anna Banana!

I got my acceptance letter from UC Merced today!  Coincidentally right after Mr. Weber and I chat about college admissions.  It's very cool to get my first UC acceptance letter, although I don't remember ever sending UC Merced my SAT scores...  But awesome!

Sac State and I are having a very poor start, though. ._.;  First, they said they didn't have my SAT scores so I had to resubmit those through my school's CSUS rep, and then they lost my EOP application and listed me as "over income limit" when no income was inputted.  So I printed out a new paper application, and re-asked my teachers for new recommendation forms, and was preparing to re-send them, but suddenly today my EOP application is no longer on my Outstanding Items list...
    WUHEIRD

So I gotta call them and find out what's up with that and why does Sac State hate me so hard.
    ;_;

I'm going to be stage manager for the spring musical at school, Back to the 80's!  I.. think.  I'm pretty sure I am.  Lol.  I find it awesomely poetic to end my theater life at MTHS the way that it began, as stage manager.  Also because I can't possibly handle being in the musical because I have NO rhythm or sense of choreography and I cannot sing on the right pitch for the life of me.  i better get that tech award D:

Oh.  That reminds me.  Note to self: apply for VAPA cord soon

I gave up ice cream for Lent, and caved after a week.  ;_;  So now I'm gonna do my other idea and give up buying make-up.  ...because I srsly buy a LOT of make-up.  >___>.  I still have to use the ones I bought.  nyehh.  My other current goals include making a decent theme for my cell phone, preferably with my own graphics and whatnot, and OMG I've had the most ridiculous craving for Indian food recently.  I have invaded Yelp and there are barely any Indian places in Sacramento besides all the way downtown, so I've been making elaborate plans to raid the Indian fast food place at Sac State.. hopefully soon.  D:  And to get my hands on the new U2 album.  omgnewu2album.  Yes, I am in just as much disbelief as you that I didn't get it the day it released.  omg

    I really want some curry.
    D:

    Bye for now!
