I had a great time at San Jose!  It was my sister/brother/dad's birthdays, and so my parents and I went down there to celebrate with them.  My sister took me out and we ate SO MUCH DESSERT.  It was ridiculous and super chocolatey.  We went to a cake place, then got some dessert coffee, and then got more cake.  @w@!  We briefly went shopping afterward because she needed shoes for her internship, and I saw this really pretty dress and she ended up getting it for me for Senior Ball!  How deliciously spontaneous.  I'm all done with my Senior Ball shopping now!  :OOO

So I asked him to Senior Ball and he totally said yes, but I'm s'posed to wait for him to ask me to Senior Ball some crazy romantic special way, so lol!  XD  I requested candy.  (btw i really like chocolate.. and truffles.. and.. hazelnut.. and.. toffee and almonds.. and yummy).

So Opening Night for LLEMD was today, and it went pretty coooo'!  I got a tad /facepalm at the Civil War scene, but we made people forget about it cos they liked the presidents scene.    Miz Townsend said that my monologue tonight was the best she's ever seen me perform it, so I'm super psyched about that!  I just hope I do it as well tomorrow and at Lenaea!  ^__^  I got kinda stoked also cos people asked for my autograph.  8D!  yey

I'm really grateful because Phuc and I have been spending a lot of time together recently. :<

And so before the play performance, Phuc and I observed the 28th of the month by going shopping!  I've been way too excited to abuse my Hello, Cupcake! cookbook, so we went to Winco to buy some baking supplies.  ^^  Afterward, I called my parents and said, "Is it okay that I went to Winco?" and my parents heard this as "Can I go to Winco" and said no... when I already had a buttload of stuff in the trunk of my car.  Lol.  So I'm at a weird point of my life in which I have to smuggle baking supplies into my home.  I have a stash of sugar, baking powder, and sprinkles hidden in my house now.  how ridiculous.  stash of baking supplies

I'm also not allowed to have candles because my parents think I'm gonna burn down the house.  So one day, in a revolutionary act of rebellion, I bought a candle.. and lit it!!!!1

So I was watching Bruce Almighty on TV again the other day, and I watched the scene where Jim Carrey tries to make Jennifer Aniston love him again, but can't, because he can't control free will.  Then it struck me: how "free will" is love? 

Sure, it made the plot for Bruce Almighty a lot more thick and interesting, but how often can people freely will themselves into loving someone, or even into stop loving someone?  I know much more than a handful of people who want to will their hearts away from loving someone anymore, but can't regardless of their efforts, and even a few people who truly want to fall in love with that wonderful, amazing person, but they just can't ever see them in that light.  As heard in every piece of love advice, every romantic movie, and under every rock, "You can't control the way you feel."  And according to Bruce Almighty, neither can God. 

But if God can't control love, who can?! 

So love can strut around doing whatever it wants!  The audacity of it!  Love is running wild; someone, hurry, tame it!  But love evades us, always sneaking around our minds and building hide-outs in our hearts.  You can catch it, even accidentally, but its spirit is wild... kind of like that horse from Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron.  And like the horse from that Spirit movie, if you turn around, if you let go, if you neglect it, if you doubt your conviction, if you don't treat love the way it deserves to be treated, even for a second, love will roundhouse kick everyone in the building and slip out of your fingers.  Love is complex like that.

But when all else fails, turn to Jason Mraz: "It takes no time to fall in love, but it takes you years to know what love is."

True that.  After three years strong with Phuc, I'm still barely grasping what love is.  But I do know that the feelings that I feel when I look at him, and the feelings I feel when he looks at me, are everything but in my control.

But dang, Bruce Almighty is a good movie.

Lol, since it was my 18th birthday and we couldn't go to Reno like we planned, my parents and I had my birthday last all week long, from Sunday the 4th to Saturday the 10th.    It was kinda cute! 
• Sunday, I got some clothes at Macy's
• Monday, my parents and I bought fried chicken XD
• Tuesday, I had my day out with Phuc and he learned/sang "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz for meeee!
• Wednesday (my actual birthday!), I went to New China Buffet with my parents and we got a birthday cheesecake!  And I bought my first lotto ticket, and looost.  >__<
• Thursday, my parents got me a Monokuro Boo air freshener for my car!  8D
I got it in white~

• Friday, I got a crazy hair cut!  I got my hair cut at the Filipino salon in Seafood City for the first time and I had a lot of nostalgic memories of the fabulous pinay transvestite hair stylists that I frequented in San Jose.  I swear, if it wasn't for her lispy manly high pitched voice, there was no way I would ever tell that she was actually a man.  SHE WAS SO FINE.

Oh, I swear to jeebus, nix the crazy bang in the middle of her face, my hair now looks a lot like Rukia's from Bleach:

• Saturday, I WENT TO JACKSON RANCHERIA INDIAN CASINO.  Lul!  It's the only dry casino in the area, so it has an 18+ limit while it's 21+ in the other casinos.  I lost a total of $3.50, but at one point I won $3, and I got super excited and called Phuc to celebrate!  den i lost it later lol

In my daydreams, I am filling out my FAFSA application at midnight, to push myself to anti-procrastinate.  >_>.  Of course, we only daydream about the people that we wish we were, not the people that we are!  so lulz

Yesterday was cool beans because I went ice skating with a bunch of friends, and actually stayed out AFTER DUSK.  DUN DUN DUN!!!!!!  I had awesome quality time with Phuc, which was lovely!    Phuc and Chau taught me how to ice skate, yaaaay!  Who from San Jose remembers Project Fantasy, the goodbye party for Mr. Weber?  WHERE THE PERSON THAT ARRANGED IT IRONICALLY REFUSED TO ICE SKATE

BUT, if I could jump into a time portal RIGHT NOW, I would totally kick ass at ice skating at that party.  TOTALLY.  Except with a lot of falling and screaming and slow, cautious movements.  ... D:  But still better than how I did four years ago.

• At least stop getting fatter, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD LOL I FAILED, FOOD IS GOOD D:  Actually I think I broke even until the very last few months where AP classes took over my workout time and... food was good.  ;_;
• Get my license YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS GO DRIVEY CHRISTA, GO!
• Pray more // find my faith Yes!  I go to church now and do the cross before I sleep every night! 
• Get prepared for college ;_; ...;_;
• Actually hold a dA contest that failed, I'm waiting to have at least 20k pageviews or 200 watchers, whichever comes.. second.  gotta guarantee participation, mayn
• Be able to look back at some of the art I've drawn this year and say, "Wow I used to really suck" xd YES, I TOTALLY SUCKED LAST YEAR

I should probably have New Year's resolutions for this year, although I didn't actually think them through, here's some that I'm making up on the spot:
• Look hot at senior ball!
• Don't suck at preparing for college!
• Get Top 10 in class ranks!
• GET OUT MORE.  D:
• Spend more time with Phuc before we (most likely) go to different colleges!  DUN DUN DUNN!
• Be a better girlfriend! 
• Short-Term Relationship Goal: Go to Senior Ball with Phuc!
• Go to a several-day-long field trip with Phuc!  Whether it be DCON or the Ashland Theater Festival in Oregon. 
• Decide whether to go to DCON or the Ashland Theater Festival in Oregon.  LULL.
• Spend more time with CHAU!  cos she's a total badass, i need her badassness to rub off on me
• Bond more with GEORGE!  Cos he's been there for me throughout all of high school actually, we need to chat more!
• Reconnect with DANIELLE!  My first friend at MTHS!  :O
• MAKE MORE FRENDZ.  D:
• Talk more with everyone from San Jose!
• Invite teachers to my SNR GRADYOOASHUN.  :O
