  " Due to the slow application response time caused by the heavy traffic on our servers, we will be extending the application deadline by 24 hours, until 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on Wednesday, October 1. This extension also applies to teacher recommendations, secondary school reports, transcripts and test score reports."

  BTW, they received my fax at 11:40 pm, and I FREAKED THE FUDGE OUT OF THIS WORLD until Phuc told me there's a one day extention.  LMAO.

  It's probably a mingling of my fault for not properly looking up that transcript faxes have a 48-hour processing time and pestering Ms. Tran more than I did, and Ms. Tran's fault (as wonderful as she is) for not faxing my transcripts until school hours today, but this afternoon when I hit the "Submit Application" button for my QuestBridge scholarship application, it told me that they still needed to receive my transcripts before I could submit!  D:  UH OHHH.  Because Ms. Tran told me she'd be faxing during school hours today, it didn't take rocket science to realize that I would miss the scholarship deadline.  Unless their working hours are until 12 a.m. at night and all of the stars of the universe align, I don't think this'll fly.  >__>.  SO UH OHHH.

  Fortunately (i suppose, because the last time i was really stressed out, i broke out in boils, but that's a different story) I'm not as stressed as I probably COULD be, because as Stanford is a pretty long shot for me and Cal Tech is a "hmmmmmmm yea ok wow i never even considered that school before but if it's on the scholarship list then damn okay" college choice, and they were the only two schools partnered with QuestBridge that I was interested in, and both schools don't allow you to use the QuestBridge application in lieu of their own college application, and because I was up against Jessica Chen and Nancy Luo and they're smart like WHOAAAAAAAAA, it doesn't feel like a big loss that I'll be missing the deadline.  In light of the loss of possible hearty scholarship rewards, I have to tell myself, ironically positively, "Don't worry Christa, if you applied you would have lost anyway."  I'm mostly bummed because Mz's Sarmiento, Poe, and Tran worked pretty hard on my recommendation forms and now I'll have to break the news to them that I didn't make the deadline. >_>. I'll have to apply for a lot more scholarships to compensate for "What Could've Been" with QuestBridge.  But if nothing else, I got three essays out of applying for QuestBridge
  that I can use for future scholarship and college applications.  but blehhhhhh

  OH YEAH AND HOMECOMING WAS FUN.  I dressed up everyday of Spirit Week and went to the dance on Saturday with Phuc, where we danced the night away.  Y'know, in middle school, I attended almost EVERY dance that Ocala held, and never danced at a single one except for (lmao) a slow dance with Genn at the Last Dance of middle school.  Now that I'm dating someone that actually likes dancing and makes me dance at these events, I must admit that I've gotten better over the last three years of being forced to shake my booty.  lmao
