Chrno Crusade was the most depressing anime.
I mean, it's one of those twisted plots in which the first half of the series is very funny and light-harded, then it tumbles into a very dark storyline, full of drama and twists.  It catches you like that!

ON THAT NOTE,
I'm pretty behind in my anime and manga now.  I used to be on it like THIS, and even got into anime before it went mainstream, and all of the sudden, THERE'S JUST TOO MUCH TO KEEP UP WITH.  So I'm just familiar with the more old-school anime/manga: the likes of Rurouni Kenshin, Fushigi Yuugi, Ranma 1/2, Magic Knight Rayearth, The Vision of Escaflowne, Saber Marionette J, Maison Ikkoku, and lolyugioh/pokemon/sailormoon.  There's so much now!  And the biggest shame: too many current anime followers have never heard of the classics! =x
The newest that I've gotten to follow is Fruits Baskets, PitaTen, Kare Kano, Naruto, Witch Hunter Robin, One Piece.. this one book about fashion models, and some yaoi book Krizthal brought to school when I finished my test early.

Someone, recommend me really really good anime or manga. 
Not some random crazy thing from the masses of manga flooding our universe.

So I was gonna rant about my kittens because they're quite.. interesting, to say the least.  But there's too much about them to write anymore.    The rant would never ever end.
