I WILL NOT PLAY "ONE" BY U2 AT MY WEDDING.
I MEAN PLZ. It's a wonderful, hope-riddled song and all, but besides the reprise and the chorus, the lyric is quite distressing to a relationship.
• "Will it make it easier now, now you got someone to blame?"
• "Love is a temple, love the higher law; you ask me to enter, but then you make me crawl."
• "You act like you never had love, now you want me to do without."
• "Well, we hurt each other, then we do it again."
• "Did I ask for too much? More than a lot? You gave me nothing, now it's all I got."
• "I can't be holding on to what you got, when all you got is hurt."I was blog-surfing and ran across a bride-to-be mentioning that she was going to play that song at her wedding. For the first dance. That's a little.. foreboding.
The moment's lesson:
Play that song all you want, because it really is awesome.
Just not at your wedding.

Instead, play Sir Mix-a-lot's Baby Got Back.
