  • And no doubt it did contribute to the wonderful awareness You are, now and then. Doesn't it make you feel so much better now to know that fire actually regenerates and is vital to the longevity of certian forests? When I took a trip across the far North of Ontario in my teens, I was devestated by a empty, charred landscape that went on for hectares unconveivable! Then, I stopped a ranger and spoke to him, asked why? What happened, and he said that they weren't sure exactly, but to rest easy in the fact that fire renews and cleanses. I couldn't fathom it looking around me but he drove us out to a place where all of this magnificent purple flowers were growing wild. It reminded me of lavendar. He explained it was Fireweed and it's one of the first organic plant to grow immediatley after a fire, it thrives in those conditions. He also pointed to all the young shrubs that were to be the next generation of forest, that wise man was really cool, and I'll never forget him becasue he changed my me;  what I see is not not as it appears. I labelled it bad and so it was but only to me, but not to the fireweed, or the forest.

We have good conversations, I like it when you visit. *smiles*
